It only has a 3 foot ceiling but it has plenty of space for all my greens. I also make a very light container soil for the greenhouse and show you how I do that. More videos will follow the fall and winter life of this greenhouse.

DIY Worm Casting Separator 1.2 New video of my DIY Worm Casting Separator (Sieve) in action! This is the 2nd time I’ve used this DIY Sieve for Worm Castings. A few weeks before I moved down to AL, I used this to filter castings out of this same worm bin. Also included images of using this to sift Rock/Sand for a wicking bed system I’m building.

Now, several weeks later…I’m bring you along and letting you see how the DIY Worm Casting Separator works. :) I also explain what I’d like to do differently, and what I’d improve on as I get more time.

Also, please let me know if you have any suggestions on how I can make this better.

Growing Ginger In Containers Ginger is one of the easiest spices to grow inside or outside, directly in the ground or in containers. Ginger scent can be invigorating. The delicate, spicy, floral scent tends to lift a person’s spirit up. You can grow ginger in a small pot and put it on your work table, in a large container place below the stairs, or right before you enter your front door. The lovely ginger scent will greet you as you come in the door from work. The great thing about ginger is that they like partial shade or filter light, which makes them super easy to grow indoors.

Ginger is so versatile. Not only can you enjoy the beautiful scent of ginger, but ginger leaves can also be made into a tea. A cup of warm ginger tea made with fresh or dried ginger leaves can help alleviate an upset stomach.

Once winter is over, you can take your ginger plant outside and let it continue to grow until harvest time.

Thank you for watching hope it helped in some way.

Organic Gardening ~ Harvesting Potatoes & Fall Backup Garden This was my first potato harvest! I planted 6 different types of potatoes. The winner so far for the biggest yield are the Red Lasoda potatoes. I still have the Irish Cobblers to harvest; so hopefully, they will yield an even bigger harvest. Also, the Purple Majesty potatoes were my smallest yield, but they are delicious! Sliced some in my green beans that I harvested with onions. Wow the purple potatoes added such a nice twist to the dish. I will be growing more of these next year for sure!

DIY Self Watering Wicking Garden We’ve been working on several different gardening projects, and this Self-Watering Wicking Garden is one of them that we decided to do for our fall and winter garden.

In this video, I show you how we built this Wicking Garden using materials that I had already (accept a few), and by using rock/dirt that our ground has native to it (think, resource based gardening).

BEST Mayonnaise Recipe EVER! – How to Make Homemade Mayo – BroBryceCooks Thanks for stopping by! If you find store-bought mayo to be a bore, and you’ve always wonder how that crazy stuff was made, this video is for you!

Ingredients:

1 egg

2 heaping T Dijon mustard

1 T white vinegar

2 T lemon juice

1 T black pepper

1/2 t garlic powder

1/2 t salt

3 cups canola oil

I substituted 1 cup of the oil with avocado oil. I don’t personally like olive oil, but if you like that bold flavor, you can substitute 1/2 cup of the oil with olive oil. Don’t go too crazy with olive oil, because the flavor can overwhelm the mayo.

How to Grow Hanging Vertical Cucumbers in Containers How to Grow Hanging Vertical Cucumbers in Containers http://bit.ly/1rP6kJs

You can grow Cucumber along the ground, vine them up fences, but my favorite way at the moment, is to grow them in hanging baskets.

This keeps them away from slugs and snails, provides plenty of air flow. It, also makes them really easy to harvest.

The big farms grow them up stakes a little like Tomatoes and usually in a hydroponic solution, but in my eyes you just can’t beat organic.
